Braden Chapman/Mimi Imfurst (HEDWIG) is a director, writer, actor and producer. Aside from two notorious turns on RuPaul’s Drag Race (and RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars), as Mimi Imfurst he has also appeared in drag on Nurse Jackie, Celebrity Apprentice, Blue Bloods and ABC’s What Would You Do? He was crowned Miss’d America 2017 and later that year became the first American Drag Queen to perform in Cuba since the embargo. He founded the ground-breaking gender bending "girl" group XELLE and as a producer created RuPaul’s Drag Race Battle of the Seasons, the Divas of Drag and Dragapalooza tours which have toured the world. Aside from touring as a drag comedian, onstage he has starred in productions of HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH (Hedwig),  THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW (Frank N Furter), INTO THE WOODS (Witch), THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANKENSTEIN (ANNE) as well as MARY, LIKE A VIRGIN (The Virgin Mary),  THANK YOU FOR BEING A FRIEND (THE GOLDEN GIRLS UNAUTHORIZED MUSICAL) (ROZ),  THE FACTS OF LIFE- THE LOST EPISODE (Natalie),  and RHODA HEARTBREAK: THE MUSICAL (Rhoda).  Most recently he conceived & directed the award winning new play DIVINE/INTERVENTION, the first ever play about the life of the John Waters muse DIVINE. Stephanie C. Kernisan (YITZHAK) is a writer and performer working primarily out of the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia. Born and raised in North Carolina, Stephanie identifies as a queer Southern Belle. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2010, majoring in Film & Video Production with a double minor in Radio and Psychology. After college, she moved to New York to pursue her career. A nomad by nature, she came to Philadelphia in 2013. She can be seen working regularly with Casabuena Cultural Productions. Yitzhak is a role Stephanie has wished for since the tenth grade, and as a self-proclaimed RuPaul’s Drag Race fanatic, working on this production with Braden Chapman (Mimi Imfurst) is an absolute dream come true. Notable past performances include Eddie/Dr. Scott in The Rocky Horror Show, The Witch in Into The Woods, and Merilee in An Adult Evening With Shel Silverstein. She would like to thank her incredible family and friends for their continued support of her performance endeavors. Josh Hitchens (DIRECTOR) is a Philadelphia based director, actor, and playwright.  Favorite directing credits include Mercury Fur (Brainspunk Theater), The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later (Quince Productions), Richard III (Mechanical Theater at Laurel Hill Cemetery), Hedda Gabler (Laurel Tree Theater at the Physick House), And Then There Were None, The Seagull, and Vinegar Tom (Allens Lane Theater).  Josh has been called “Philadelphia’s foremost purveyor of the macabre,” writing and performing several one man shows including Stoker’s Dracula, A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Curio Theatre in Clark Park), and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, which had a sold out run at the Mutter Museum.  His acclaimed play The Confession of Jeffrey Dahmer received its world premiere at Brainspunk Theater in 2015, was a sold out hit at Jersey Fringe in 2017, and had its Canadian premiere in 2018.  Josh is the Creative Director at the Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion historic site, where he has been creating site specific theater for ten years, as well as Artistic Director of Going Dark Theatre, which is dedicated to bringing classic and contemporary works of horror to the stage.  His next directing project is Chekhov’s Three Sisters at the Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion.  Thanks to Braden, Stephanie, Bobby, and the entire team for this incredible journey.  Jacob, this one is for you. Paul Harlan (GUITAR) is an actor, singer, performance artist, songwriter, and NYC refugee living in Philly. He frequently works with playwrite Bastion Carboni and has acted in his acclaimed Fringe shows Sometimes Callie and Jonas Die, and, An Obviously Foggot. Paul also performs regularly in the Philadelphia cabaret scene under the alias Paul Severe. He is re-mounting and performing in his original script for The Gang Does a Burlesque Show (a tribute to It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) in July. He is also currently writing his first Fringe show with all original-music called Songs For Monsters which will be produced in the fall. Finally, Paul is checking-off-the-bucket-list excited about being member of The Angry Inch and thanks Braden for the opportunity to work with such a rad crew!horror to the stage.


E.J. Simpson (BASS) is a prolific songwriter, a busy performer and also a teacher.  He is a several-instrumentalist and plays several instruments including Bass,  the Mandolin, electrical and acoustical Guitar, Ukulele, Mandola, The Gong, Organ  and Piano. As well, he sings on stages, in clubs, theatres, bars, temples, churches, rooms, studios, saloons, laundromats and showers in public and also in seclusion, with many varied bands, songwriters and shows in Philly, N.J. and New York.     E.J. also produces an annual, solo adaptation performance run of Jesus ChristSuperSTAR, which has toured nationally from Anchorage to Albuquerque, Sausalito to Sarasota. Tucker Marshall (DRUMS) is a drummer residing in Philadelphia, PA originally from Ohio. A graduate from Bowling Green State University, Tucker had many great opportunities to play in shows and cabarets during college where he received his BM for Jazz Studies Music Performance. This is Tuckers first professional show in Philadelphia since moving here last summer. Tucker would like to thank all of my friends and family for their support through this process. Alessandra Doherty (LIGHTING DESIGN)  is a Philadelphia based lighting designer hailing from Vernon, NJ. After graduating with honors and a BA in Theatre from DeSales University, she continued her training at Goodspeed Musicals in Connecticut.  She spent five seasons as the Lighting Supervisor at Philadelphia Theatre Company, and has been touring as the Associate Lighting Designer with Koresh Dance Company since 2013. Recently, Aly’s designs have been seen in Azuka Theatre’s Mrs. Harrison, Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers’ Faith Project/The Door, Theatre Horizon’s 2.5 Minute Ride, and Tiny Dynamite’s The Art of Swimming.  She has also designed for the Philadelphia Women’s Theatre Festival, Simpatico Theatre Company, DeSales University, Drexel University, and Brian Sanders’ JUNK, among others.




Melody Wong (PRODUCTION MANAGER)  is excited to be part of the Hedwig and the Angry Inch with reTheater, she is currently stage managing Red Bike, with Simpacitco. Other credits include; Tiger Style with Philadelphia Asian Performing Artists, Lashed but not Leashed with Martha GrahamCracker,  The Outer Space, The Kinetic Tree, PIFA 2016 at the Kimmel Center, Assistant Director for the live capture of La Triviata, Turandot, The Marriage of Figaro with Opera Philadelphia. An alumina of Temple University, and a previous Stage Management Fellow of The Wilma theater, she is also the Event and Tech Coordinator at Asian Arts Initiative, and has worked extensively in the Chinatown and Asian American Community including working on the Annual Asian American Heritage Festival.  Thank you to all my mentors, friends and mom for your continued support. 


Abby Sturgis (ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER)  is thrilled to be part of reTheater’s production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. She is currently a junior at Temple University studying design and production for theater. Previous credits include The Underpants, Our Town with Temple Theaters, Production Assistant at the 2017 Barrymore Awards and Assistant Scenic Designer/Production Graphic Designer for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with Temple Theaters. She would like to thank her family, friends and mentors for their constant support.

Eric Gershenow (SOUND ENGINEER) A DC native, Eric G. Has been a live performing artist for over 20 years having performed in various cover projects before moving to Philadelphia in 2010 where he began focusing on writing and recording original music.  Having grown up in the 90’s, his influences include 90’s-era hip hop and rock, as well as the classic blues that spurred the British Invasion of the 1960’s to the 1970’s R&B can be heard throughout his self-titled EP Harmonic Frequency Matching due in March 2018.  Since moving to Philadelphia, Eric has performed and recorded with numerous local artists from both rock/folk and R&B jazz communities, most notably performing with R&B heavy hitters Stephen Wise and Grammy-nominated bassist Doug Grigsby III (StepWiseEntertainment). He also operates as Music Director for Casabuena Cultural Productions in the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia, writing and recording original pieces for video and theatre as well as engineering sound for live performances.
